Cocktail cupcakes are the next must have summer desserts. While frozen desserts might be refreshing, these cupcakes combine two of our favorite summer indulgences, cocktails and desserts. Who said that summer refreshments only come in a glass?
To celebrate summer eating and entertaining, Sprinkles and Tito’s Handmade Vodka have collaborated on two limited edition cupcakes that are the ultimate summer dessert. These flavors are based on two classic summer cocktails, Tito’s Down Home Punch and Tito’s American Mule.

These two summer cocktails are favorite for summer parties, backyard barbecues or just an afternoon of relaxation. These cupcakes take the flavors in the cocktails and transform them into a confectionary dream. Even if you don’t drink a lot of cocktails, these cupcakes have delicious flavors that are delightful on a hot summer day.

The Sprinkles and Tito’s Handmade Vodka collaboration is only available for a limited time. Each cupcake will be available for just two weeks and then it disappears. Maybe if enough fans get behind this collaboration, the special cupcakes based on favorite cocktails could occur again.
The first cupcake collaboration, Tito’s Down Home Punch is available June 25 through July 8. Similar to the cocktail, the flavors combine orange, berry and pomegranate. A berry pomegranate compote fills the orange cake. The cupcake is topped with Tito’s infused lemon berry marble frosting and a dusting of cinnamon sugar. The tartness of the pomegranate and the brightness of the citrus help to keep this cupcake from being too sweet. It is definitely a taste of summer.

The second cupcake, Tito’s American Mule, will be available from July 9 through July 22. This version of a mule is full of spice. The ginger cake is bursting with flavor, especially with pieces of crystalized ginger. With a generous amount of Tito’s infused lime frosting, the cupcake is quite refreshing. This cupcake would be a wonderful choice to serve after a summer barbecue.
