Williams Sonoma to host Top Chef Holiday Entertaining Cooking Classes
Wish you could cook and entertain like a Top Chef? Williams Sonoma will offer Top Chef cooking classes.
Williams Sonoma has partnered with the favorite Bravo television show to bring exclusive holiday entertaining cooking classes at select stores. With Top Chef Season 16 set to premiere this month, these Top Chef cooking classes could give the ultimate foodie fan a chance to learn from some of the best cheftestants. The special holiday entertaining event will be held on Thursday, December 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. (the same night as the Season 16 premiere).
The following former cheftestants will be participating in this special event. Each holiday cooking class is free, but guests must register.
New York City – Chef Grayson Schmitz
Atlanta (Ponce City Market) – Chef Kevin Gillespie
Beverly Hills – Chef Joe Sasto
Dallas (North Park) – Chef Tiffany Derry
Philadelphia (King of Prussia) – Chef Jenn Carroll
While the specifics of each cooking class aren’t clear, this type of event is more for the fan wishing to interact with some of their favorite chefs. Of course, guests will get some great holiday entertaining tips and maybe a few recipes. Still, the experience is about seeing and interacting with these chefs in person.
This partnership coincides with a change to the Top Chef prize given to the top cheftestant. This year, the winner will receive a Williams Sonoma prize package and a spot on the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage at the 2019 BottleRock Music Festival in Napa Valley. My guess is that this season of Top Chef will feature a lot of Williams Sonoma product placement.
To peak your interest about this Top Chef Season 16, here is the official trailer.
This partnership extends beyond this holiday cooking class and winner prize. On the first Thursday of each month, Williams Sonoma will host Top Chef events. These events will run through March 2019. While the specifics of these events aren’t clear, fans could hope for recipe demos, chef appearances and other Top Chef related activities.
Bringing these Top Chef events to Williams Sonoma stores is smart. Fans want more real world interaction with their favorite celebrity chefs. Whether it is visiting one of these chefs’ restaurants or cooking with their branded kitchen gadgets, there is a huge draw. Capitalizing on that fan connection is smart for both brands.
