Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 finale preview: Greatness achieved
Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 finale is here. Which baker can achieve baking greatness and earn the coveted title of Holiday Baking Champion?
The Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 finale will put the three finalists to the ultimate baking test. While they have tackled fruitcake, Thanksgiving desserts and even the judges’ favorite flavors, this final test puts all their baking abilities on the line. Only one will be crowned champion. Can you predict who will win the finale?
According to Food Network, the Holiday Baking Championship Season 5 finale, “Gifts of Greatness” synopsis states:
"Three bakers remain in the competition, and in the pre-heat, they have to create a beautiful edible holiday ornament display. For the final main heat, the bakers channel holiday gift shopping by creating a cake that is decorated like a gift on the outside and reveals a surprise inside when sliced. For one talented baker, the ultimate gift will be $25,000 and the title of Holiday Baking Champion!"

The pre-heat challenge could be a way for one baker to really stand out. An edible holiday ornament display sounds amazing. If one baker could show some impressive sugar ornaments, it could win him the advantage.
Throughout the season, the person winning the pre-heat didn’t always have a guaranteed passed. Last week saw Chantal go home even though she won the pre-heat. The pre-heat winning baker shouldn’t get too confident.
For the final challenge of Holiday Baking Championship Season 5, the hidden cake can be quite difficult. While a snowman cake has been part of the Food Network promos, it may not be the winning design. This particular challenge will need to have some knowledge and expertise.
It is curious that this season has two similar challenges. While a previous challenge had a cake that revealed a pattern, this challenge is someone similar. It does give cake decorators an advantage.
Given the three final bakers, there isn’t a clear favorite for the finale. Any of the three finalists could win. Hopefully, all the bakers have mistake-free bakes and the best baker wins.
