According to the Food Network, this Winner Cake All episode, “It’s a Broadway Princess Party” features the following:

"Giada De Laurentiis welcomes four top baking teams and challenges them to create a cake decoration that honors their favorite fairy tale. One team is sent home without a happily ever after, and the remaining three teams meet their VIP clients, the stars of Broadway Princess Party, Laura Osnes, Susan Egan and Courtney Reed. These princesses are marking the third year of their live concert series and need a cake to celebrate with the cast and crew, so the bakers must make cakes with glitz and glitter fit for royalty. One team wins $10,000 and the honor of serving their cake at a royal ball."

While the time is limited, it appears that the judges are always looking for a few key items. Height seems to be important. Cake toppers that are flat, don’t have the best appeal.

Second, the cake topper needs to make an impression from a distance. The tiny, delicate cake toppers might not be as viable as the bold, vivacious designs. Still, the cake topper needs to be well made, without a lot of flaws.

For the main challenge, the design should be a little clearer. Focusing on Disney princesses can give the bakers more guidance. From Belle to Cinderella, the princesses have specific looks, color schemes and story lines.

With this theme, the bakers need to capture the joy and fantasy of a Disney princess. These characters are almost iconic. There is no deviating from those classic looks.
