Wedding Cake Championship returns to the Food Network this summer
Did you love Wedding Cake Championship? The Food Network is bringing back the show with its hosts Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir.
It’s wedding season! Wedding Cake Championship will be back on the Food Network this summer. More importantly, the show’s hosts, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir, will be returning as well. Will this season’s cakes be as exciting as the hosts’ banter and outfits?
Wedding cakes are often the most elaborate cakes that anyone will ever enjoy. Whether it is based on a specific theme or something more traditional, that photo of the picture perfect wedding cake lasts a lifetime.
Last year, Food Network fans loved this summer food TV competition. From watching the competing bakers create the various cake toppers and cakes to watching Tara and Johnny host the show, each episode was must watch on Monday nights.

Starting on Monday, June 3 at 10 p.m., the fan favorite returns for another season. This season’s judges include “baking extraordinaire Kimberly Bailey, Chopped’s Maneet Chauhan, and Say Yes to the Dress host Randy Fenoli.” Through the four episodes, the baking teams will have to showcase their baking talents.
Similar to last season, the baking teams will create wedding cakes for real life engaged couples. Looking back at last year’s season, the requests were quite varied. While these cakes will probably be sweet (most likely no Duff Goldman meat cakes), they will have to be super creative. Could some new wedding trends be featured in this season?
For the finale, the baking teams will have to create an exquisite wedding cake for Bachelor in Paradise’s Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon. It is anyone’s guess what this finale cake will need to incorporate. With $25,000 prize and the title of Wedding Cake Champion on the line, these bakers better bring their best.
Wedding Cake Championship Season 2 will premiere on Food Network, Monday, June 3 at 10 p.m. ET. The finale will air on Monday, June 24 at 10 p.m. ET.
