Worst Cooks in America Celebrity Edition is showcasing some popular dishes in this week’s challenge. After feeling the pressure from last week’s wheel of misfortune, this week’s challenges might have the recruits wishing for a take-out menu.
According to the Food Network, this week’s episode, “Take the Bait” features the following.
"Chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence plunge the celebrities into the deep end of the kitchen by introducing them to fish. For the skill drill, the teams race to assemble sushi rolls off a speedy conveyor belt. For the main dish challenge, Anne and Tyler teach their recruits how to make fish tacos with homemade tortillas. It’s rough waters for some of the celebrities, and the two with the worst dishes battle it out in the blind elimination challenge to determine who goes home."
The first sushi roll challenge could be much more difficult that it appears. Rolling sushi correctly is a skill and it takes practice. While this challenge is about speed, it could be an entertaining situation of mistakes. Anyone feeling an I Love Lucy vibe?
Since this episode airs on Cinco de Mayo, it makes sense that there are some tacos features. Homemade tortillas aren’t too difficult. Making a simple dough and pressing it should be within the grasp for these celebrity recruits.
The more difficult part could be seasoning and cooking the fish properly. No one wants bad fish in a fish taco. That scenario would make taco night a disaster.
After last week’s challenge, the competition is looking promising for Jim. He seems to be listening and learning. With two wins under his belt, could he be the celebrity to beat?
