New Dairy Queen Blizzards: Which Reese’s Lovers are you?

Summer and Dairy Queen Blizzards are the perfect combination. This summer, DQ asks the difficult question, which Reese’s Lover are you?

Is your red spoon ready for some new Dairy Queen Blizzards? Just in time for the start of summer, DQ has launched two new Reese’s Lovers Blizzards. In a way, DQ ponders the age old question, what is more important in a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, the peanut butter or the chocolate. Which side has your loyalty?

Recently, Reese’s added the limited edition Peanut Butter Lovers and the Chocolate Lovers Cups. These two candies give fans more of what they want, either chocolate or peanut butter. It gives the favorite, classic candy a flavor upgrade.

With the growing popularity of these new Reese’s candies, DQ decided to make their own Blizzard creations featuring the delicious cups. According to Maria Hokanson, Executive Vice President of Marketing for American Dairy Queen, “The limited-edition Reese’s Lovers Cups are flying off store shelves, making DQ restaurants a go-to destination to get a special Reese’s Lovers experience.”

The two new Reese’s inspired Blizzards give fans more of the flavors that they want. In the Reese’s Peanut Butter Lovers Blizzard treat, the DQ vanilla soft serve is blended with the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and more creamy peanut butter. This flavor experience offers the slightly salty/sweet flavor combination that makes peanut butter so appealing.

The Reese’s Chocolate Lovers Blizzard Treat combines the delicious DQ vanilla soft serve with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and cocoa fudge. Given the richness of the fudge, this Blizzard is definitely a chocolate lover’s dream come true.

While I don’t want to influence anyone’s opinion, my loyalty lies with the Reese’s Chocolate Lovers Blizzard. There is something about the DQ fudge that is decadent and extremely delicious. Also, I appreciate that DQ used the fudge and not a chocolate soft serve ice cream. This flavor combination allows me to choose how much chocolate I want in eat bite.
