The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 is here. Which one of these food trucks will earn the title and cash prize this season?
The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 is ready to roll out. This new season has a beach theme. As the food trucks travel around the East Coast, which food trucks will find success in this Food Network competition?
According to the Food Network, The Great Food Truck Race Season 10 premiere synopsis states:
"Nine teams arrive on the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach S.C. where Tyler Florence challenges them to create the perfect, portable summer dish. After one team pulls off a surprising win, disaster strikes with a food truck crash. Tyler gives the teams a second challenge, to make a dish featuring a seafood staple – but one team refuses to participate. Ultimately, one team is eliminated and eight head toward Hilton Head Island, S.C. ready to do whatever it takes to win the grand prize of $50,000."
Looking at the nine competing food trucks, the teams tend to have food or catering experience. While working a food truck is different than working in a kitchen, knowledge can be powerful.
Remember, this food truck competition isn’t just about presenting a delicious dish. Each week is partly a business challenge as well. These teams need to sell, promote and make smart business decisions.
As Tyler opens his black book at the end of each episode, it isn’t to discuss which dish tasted the best. The team eliminated is based on sales. If no one bought the dish, it doesn’t matter how delicious it was.
It is nice to see the Food Network including a vegan food truck in this season. Even though each food truck has a particular style, they do need to adapt to the challenges. Hopefully, the challenges are adaptable for all the food trucks.
Since this episode is the first one of the season, it will be hard to determine who could emerge as a potential favorite. Did anyone predict last season’s winner in the first episode of Season 9?
