Frozen sugar drinks

Have you ever walked around a theme park around 3:30 in the afternoon and watched the sugar meltdown? After consuming copious amounts of sugar, the kids (and sometimes adults) start to whine, lose patience and bickering becomes rampant. While sugar isn’t the only culprit to these meltdowns, it can be a factor.

All around theme parks, the sugary frozen drinks beckon. From the free Icee re-fills in your theme park cup to colorful, layered themed drinks, these beverages can be hard to resist. But, that sugar comes with a down side.

Too much sugar in the heat can play havoc with how you feel. If you don’t hydrate while drinking those sugary frozen drinks, you could end up with a headache.

Don’t get us wrong, FoodSided has indulged in many sugary frozen drinks at various theme parks. From Butterbeer to Disney’s latest creation, but we always drink at least 2 big refillable waterbottles to one drink.

In a way it is about moderation and planning. Just like when you that beer with lunch.
