LA Feeds Blue dining initiative brings big names to the ball park

During LA Feeds Blue, Dodger Stadium looks more like a celebrity chef pop-up restaurant than the traditional ball park fare.

Move over hot dogs and Cracker Jack. LA Feeds Blue dining initiative is the newest celebrity chef driven dining experience coming to a MLB baseball stadium. This special Chef Series pop-cup concession stand features popular local restaurants, celebrated chefs and well-known local restauranteurs. Who’s heading to the ball park?

During July and August home-stands, the special Chef Series pop-ups will celebrate various LA neighborhoods. Featuring celebrated chefs, local ingredients and bold flavors, this dining initiative shows that ballpark food can be quite innovative.

The new program is partnership between Levy and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Levy seen success with programs, like the Wrigley Field Chef Series. These programs showcase the immense local talent and culinary innovation can be brought to a ballpark.

Today’s baseball fans are looking for more while enjoying the game. Traditional ballpark fare is being replaced with chef-driven menus, gigantic menu options and bold flavor combinations. Today, the food is as big of an experience as a seeing your favorite team score the winning run.

“Dodgers fans know we’ve added more fresh, locally-inspired dining options over the last few seasons, and the Chef Series builds on that focus with a true taste of LA’s restaurant community,” said Ryan Evans, Executive Chef for Levy at Dodger Stadium. “We’re fortunate to have some amazing, iconic restaurants and neighborhood joints are breaking through in a big way. We wanted Chef Series to showcase both those recognizable, craved flavors, and up-and-coming restaurants with really unique concepts.”

Located in the right field plaza, the Chef Series kicked off the Trejo’s Tacos. Danny Trejo, a diehard Dodger fan, seemed like the perfect choice to kick off the series. Those signature street tacos have become huge hit with foodies.

Starting on July 19 through July 24, celebrated chefs and restauranteurs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken bring their Border Grill and Socalo menus to the ballpark. The dueling menu will feature favorites from their iconic restaurant as well as selections from their new coastal Latin cuisine restaurant.

Next on the calendar is Park’s BBQ. From August 1 through 7, Chef-Owner Jenee Kim brings the acclaimed Korean BBQ to Dodger Stadium. The Korean are highlights fresh produce and some of the finest meats.

Last on the line-up is Boo’s. From August 20 through the 25, a taste of the traditional Philly cheesesteak is being served. One bite will have fans feeling transported to the East Coast.
