The 2019 Epcot Food and Wine festival is the biggest and longest yet. With so many tasty treats, these five dishes need to be on your first eat list.

Have you made plans for the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival? The annual 24th annual Disney food festival brings so many guests to sample some of the best Disney Parks food. Whether you try a different regional cuisine or sample an old favorite, there are so many dishes to taste that the annual food festival should be a multi-day smorgasbord.

While many popular favorites will return this year, a few new choices definitely need to make the must try list. From a new marketplace to a totally over the top treat, everyone will have an excuse to visit the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival at least twice this year.

Here are some of FoodSided’s top choices.

Thailand Shrimp and Cold Noodle Salad

Similar to a dish featured last year, this version offer a nice balance of sweet and spicy. On a hot Florida day, the cold dish will be quite refreshing. Given the combination of shrimp and noodles, the dish will also be quite satisfying.

Africa Spicy Kenyan Vegan Githeri

African food is definitely trending and this vegan dish will have you embracing the plant-based food choices. The layers of flavors in this dish are exquisite. While not overly spicy, the flavors are amplified.

Islands of the Caribbean: Jerk-spiced chicken

This slightly spicy dish will be calling foodies with its aroma from the grill. The bold spices paired with sweet plantains and a mango chutney yogurt offer the perfect balance of sweet and heat.

Also, don’t forget to try the special beer that pairs beautifully with this dish. Think if a Moscow Mule met a hazy IPA. The hint of the ginger in this beer makes it delightful with this dish.

Australia Deconstructive Pavlova

Desserts are some of the most tempting bites at the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. This dessert is a light, bright bite. The pastry cream is just sweet enough to satisfy the sweet tooth while the citrus-macerated berries are refreshing. Plus, the lemon myrtle meringue adds texture to make a composed bite.

Donut and cocktail

Although the Donut Box won’t open till October 1, this cocktail and treat will top everyone’s must try list. The yeast donut has espresso crumbles that are bitter and sweet.

The cocktail is almost a dessert itself. Called a Black and White Coffee cocktail, it is definitely an eye opener. With Jim Beam and coffee liqueur, you might want to have just one.

Of course, the visual is part of the reason why everyone will want to try this treat. But, it would be nice to be able to dunk that donut in the cocktail. Maybe we can devise a method for dunking before October 1.

These dishes are just a small sampling of the many, many options at the 2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival. FoodSided will be at the Disney to sample some other new treats and some old favorites.
