MasterChef Season 10 episode 21 preview: Family Reunion

In this MasterChef episode, the home cooks get a taste of home. Will this surprise be too emotional for the Top 7 or will they raise their game?

With only a few more episodes remaining in MasterChef Season 10, the Top 7 get an emotional surprise on this particular episode. Who will secure their spot in the Top 6?

According to FOX, this episode, “Family Reunion,” features the following:

"The Top 7 take on another immunity challenge when family members and loved ones make a surprise visit. Three of the chefs will secure their spots in the Top 6, while the remaining chefs must replicate one of Gordon’s Michelin Star-winning dishes."

First, there hasn’t been a double elimination week in a while. After the one pan wonder challenge, the home cooks need to keep their high level of cooking.

Second, this episode could be very emotionally charged. After being in this competition for so long, seeing family members is always emotional. While some people might get a boost from this experience, others can crumble under the pressure.

Lastly, the idea that these home cooks have to recreate a Michelin Star dish will be daunting. These types of dishes take a very delicate hand. Precision and execution are key to success.

Since this challenge is about recreating a dish, the home cooks should not stray too far from the original dish. This challenge is not about their own personal style, rather they should show that they listen and apply well.
