Are you ready for spooky, sweet and incredibly impressive? Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 is here to the delight of all Food Network fans.

A new season of Haunted Gingerbread Showdown in here and these bakers are ready to celebrate one of the most iconic movies of all time. Who are you going to call?

According to Food Network, the Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 premiere episode, “Calling All Ghostbusters” states:

"Slimer, the Keymaster and the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man put the “haunted” in Haunted Gingerbread Showdown as host Clinton Kelly challenges three gingerbread artists to create pieces celebrating the 35th anniversary of the smash hit movie Ghostbusters. The competitor who impresses judges Jamika Pessoa, Gesine Prado and Jason Smith qualifies for the finale and a winner-take-all prize of $25,000."

Looking at this synopsis, it will be interesting to see which theme the bakers choose. Ghostbusters is one of the few movies that can balance the frightful and funny. Ghosts might be a little scary, but Slimer had a big personality.

Although some people might consider gingerbread a winter holiday treat, this show proves that gingerbread has great versatility. With a little imagination, gingerbread can be transformed into a fantastical design that will impress everyone.

In addition to the design, the judges and host are a huge draw for Food Network fans. Clinton Kelly, as the host, will bring his vivacious personality to the competition. He will definitely make the bakers feel at ease but also keep the viewers engaged.

Jason Smith has become a huge fan favorite. It will be interesting to see what fun catch phrase or quip happens in the premiere. Wonder if a gingerbread and roster reference will happen?
