Kellogg All Together Cereal celebrates the importance of acceptance

In honor of Spirit Day, Kellogg All Together Cereal stands a reminder that inclusivity should be the norm, not the exception.

For one day only, Kellogg All Together Cereal brings together all the famous Kellogg mascots and cereals in a single offering. While this visual might delight cereal fans, the reasoning is far more important than a special promotion. It stands as a symbol of acceptance.

Acceptance might sound like a simple term but it has much broader implications. Every day, people can be bullied for many reasons. From who they choose to love to who they are to how they look, the focus on the different often outweighs the similarities.

On October 17, people join together to stand up against bullying and support LGBTQ youth. This year, Kellogg offered its one day only, All Together Cereal, as a symbol of acceptance. From Tony the Tiger to Snap, Crackle and Pop, this box brings together “six of the famous Kellogg mascots and cereals inside the same carton.”

While cereal might not be the solution to solve the inclusivity issue, it is a simple, easy to understand way to raise awareness on this harrowing subject. In some facet, everyone has something in common.

Sure, that Frosted Mini Wheat doesn’t look or taste like Froot Loops, but they both start with the same ingredients. While the finished product looks totally different, deep down there are more similarities than differences.

In some ways, this box of cereal is a reminder to celebrate all the unique qualities that makes everyone special. Sure, one person might be vivacious and other person subdued. Still, each person is special in her own right and no one deserves negativity in her life.

Even if you aren’t able to get one of these one-day-only Kellogg All Together Cereal boxes, why not take a moment to celebrate bringing people and things together. Throw some Froot Loops into your bowl of Raisin Bran. Maybe that little touch of sweet, fruity goodness brings a smile on an otherwise gloomy day. Or, share a kind word with someone who might need a moment of positivity.

More importantly, the celebration of acceptance and the goal of inclusivity doesn’t have to be limited to Spirit Day. Maybe if every day had more all togetherness, the mornings might seem a little brighter.

Kellogg All Together Cereal is available on Kelloggstore.com for $19.99. It is available October 17 only.
