Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups have become of the most popular candies. During the various holidays, those classic cups get transformed into various shapes. From Easter eggs to Halloween pumpkins, these themed candies are too cute to resist.

Looking back, the shapes started in 1966 with the Easter egg. The eggs are probably one of the most iconic candy shapes.

Over the years, there have been six different shapes. From Christmas trees to pumpkins and even a heart, the shapes are intended to reflect certain classic holiday items. Although some people have debated if those shapes truly represent those classic holiday shapes, the Reese’s candy is always tasty,

New this year, the Reese’s Mystery Shapes add a little intrigue and an extra gift to the holiday season. To solve this candy mystery you must unwrap these holiday candy packages.

Recently, I had the opportunity to sample these new Reese’s candies. After much research (and half a bag of eating), I think that I might have figured out the mystery.

First, Reese’s will not confirm any of the mystery shapes (yes, I asked). While it is clear, that there are three shapes for the holidays, everyone has to solve the mystery for themselves.

Now, if you want to be surprised when you open a bag of Reese’s Mystery Shapes for yourself, you might not want to read any more. Since I did my taste test, I believe that I have solved the mystery of the holiday shapes.

Truthfully, there were a few ideas that came to mind even before I opened these packages. Since the Christmas tree is already used, there are only a few other shapes that might work.

So, my best guess at the three holiday mystery shapes are a Christmas stocking, a bell and a snowman. Now, you might need a little imagination to see these shapes, but remember everyone is solving a mystery. Maybe at some point, Reese’s will reveal the answer.
