Halloween Wars Season 9 finale preview: Scarier tales?
It is time for the Halloween Wars Season 9 finale. Which team will frighten the judges with these scarier tales and earn the title?
The Halloween Wars Season 9 finale is here and things are getting a little strange on the Food Network show. While these teams might not be entering the upside down, the competition may not be that perfect happily ever after.
According to the Food Network, the Halloween Wars Season 9 finale synopsis states:
"In the spine-tingling finale of Halloween Wars, the final two teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar master have slaughtered the competition and are ready to face off in an epic showdown with actor Caleb McLaughlin from Stranger Things as guest judge. The team that can best turn a classic fairy tale into a terrifying scary tale is crowned Halloween Wars Champion and takes home $50,000!"
The finale challenge offers a lot of creativity for the teams. While some fairy tales have a dark twist, the key to impressing the judges will be the unique take on that classic story. For example, could Sleeping Beauty entice the prince into her eternal sleep instead of him waking her?
While execution is always important, an interesting take on a traditional story has value. Since it is the finale, these teams need to push the envelope even more. Which team can do something that hasn’t been seen this Halloween Wars season?
Looking at the final two teams, it is anyone’s game. While the Buttercream Beasts have had a good run, their sugar artist needs to push herself more. In comparison to other teams, the sugar work is just ok.
Frosted Freakshow has really pushed themselves in this season, especially in last week’s episode, but communication sometimes breaks down. If these teammates cannot communicate well, it could spell doom for their chances.
Also, the tasting element hasn’t been a huge feature for this season. In some cases, the tasting element has just been ok. For this finale, can one of the teams really impress the judges with something totally unique (and maybe a touch scary)?
