Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 finale: Gingerbread nightmares?
Could the Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 finale be filled with gingerbread nightmares? A classic fright might haunt the bakers.
It is time for the Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 finale. While these gingerbread artists have proven their immense talent, the finale could prove quite daunting. Could an unfortunate mistake cause these bakers to have nightmares forever?
According to Food Network, the Haunted Gingerbread Showdown Season 2 finale synopsis states:
"Freddy Krueger is back and ready to menace three gingerbread artists as they face the ultimate nightmare. The finalists have one week to create pieces that celebrate the 35th anniversary of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Host Clinton Kelly challenges the competitors to a trial by fire, literally, and judges Jamika Pessoa, Gesine Prado and Jason Smith will award the title and $25,000 prize to the one who creates the best nightmare-scape and pyrotechnics."
First, can it be possible that Freddy has been stalking people’s nightmares for 35 years? That Halloween icon and that story continues to be one of the most frightening concepts.
With that theme in mind, these gingerbread artists will have to be super creative to make this gingerbread display come to life. Although Freddy and his claws are iconic, the display needs to have more than just those images.
Also, the synopsis mentions a trial by fire. This reference could give a clue about the twist. It seems likely that the other dessert will involve something with fire.
Since the desserts probably won’t be flambe, it might be a reference to s’mores. That classic dessert involves fire and is relatively easy to make. No one would be expected to make a bombe Alaska in this competition.
