Go Biscuits? Hardee’s is looking for an innovative biscuit recipe

When was the last time you had a Hardee’s biscuit? While those made from scratch biscuits are quite tasty, the popular fast casual brand is asking its fans for an innovative biscuit recipe. Could your creation become part of the menu?

Hardee’s is asking its fans and foodies to submit their best, tastiest and most innovative biscuit recipes. From sweet to savory and everything in between, a special biscuit recipe could make you famous and earn you a place on the Hardee’s menu.

While this contest is entertaining, Hardee’s does get menu inspiration from its fans and employees. The newest menu items are a great example of that collaboration.

Joining the menu on October 23, the Southwest Patty Melt and the Jalapeno Cheddar Fries were created by Hardee’s District Manager, Bill Harper. He also created the Southwest Omelet Biscuit and the Southwest Omelet Burrito.

Looking at the latest menu items, the flavors are bold, but not overpowering. Southwest flavors bring the heat but never scorch the taste buds.

The two breakfast items are a great way to start the day. The Southwest Omelet Biscuit gets a big burst of flavor from the pickled jalapenos. That tang is balanced with the fluffy, delicious biscuit. It might wake you up as well as a cup of rise and shine coffee.

Looking at these four new menu items, it could be hard to pick just one. If you are looking to try something new, but not sure of your spice levels, the jalapeno cheddar fries are a great choice. The cheese balances the heat. Plus, if you are spice adverse, you can put some of those pickled jalapenos on the side.
