Mr. Peanut and Jonathan Van Ness are teaming up to promote men’s health throughout the month of November.

For most Americans, November means one thing: Thanksgiving. Or maybe two things: Thanksgiving and Black Friday. ‘Tis the season for almost being able to listen to Christmas music without being judged, procrastinating on your holiday shopping, and deep-cleaning your house for the first time since … it’s been a while. Let’s leave it at that.

But for some — the bearded, mustached among us — November is a reminder that even men deserve to look and feel good flaunting their physical forms. Facial hair specifically.

You’ve probably heard the term “Movember” in passing before. At least one guy you know has proclaimed they’re going to abstain from shaving their facial hair for the month, though he may or may not have known what for.

Movember isn’t just a niche “just for guys with beards and mustaches” movement, though. It’s actually a men’s health charity that raises awareness for and donates to causes such as prostate and testicular cancer and men’s mental health.

The organization aims to reduce the number of premature deaths in men from preventable causes, facilitating hundreds of projects to promote and educate about health and wellness across the country. The more who know about it, the more mens’ lives can be saved.

That’s why it’s so important that two well-known brands — one a long-standing business and the other a man whose face we all honestly just can’t stop looking at — are teaming up to spread the word about Movember and men’s health.

The Planters brand has been around for over 100 years, first established in 1906, making Mr. Peanut a true household name. Speaking of household names, let’s talk about Jonathan Van Ness. If you don’t know him yet, you will very soon.

Jonathan Van Ness — JVN for short — is one of the stars of Netflix’s Queer Eye, as well as a self-proclaimed mustache enthusiast. His humorous, lively personality makes him the perfect person to team up with Mr. Peanut to help men transform into the best possible versions of themselves beginning this November.

All throughout the month, Mr. Peanut will be sharing videos featuring JVN, who will be providing men’s hair grooming and self-care tips.

Keep an eye on Mr. Peanut’s Twitter feed to follow the partnership with JVN — and don’t forget to like and share the tweets so more men have access to the mustache guru’s fabulous advice.
