Holiday Baking Championship preview: Are those cupcake pajamas?
Are you ready to snuggle up with a sweet Holiday Baking Championship episode? Which of these bakers can find the jolly in some holiday pajamas?
Holiday Baking Championship is back and another baker will be sent home for the holidays at the end of this episode. While everyone loves a great present, this week’s challenges might need a little extra sparkle. Which gift will impress the judges?
In this Holiday Baking Championship episode, “Getting Gifty With It,” the bakers will tackle the following:
"Jesse Palmer teaches the six bakers a lesson in repurposing holiday gifts in the first round, when they must turn panettone, the classic holiday Italian sweet bread, into an entirely new dessert. Then they’re challenged to create a beautifully decorated cupcake mosaic inspired by a pair of holiday pajamas. Judges Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Lorraine Pascale send one baker packing."
Transforming a panettone into another holiday dessert will be interesting. Who hasn’t received a panettone as a gift over the holiday season? Instead of that dessert just sitting waiting to be eaten, why not create something totally different.
Hopefully, none of the bakers will make a bread pudding. That dessert is too simple for this Food Network baking competition. Each of these bakers need to find some type of creative dessert. Boring and traditional won’t cut it at this point in the competition.
As for the main heat, a cupcake mosaic could be quite fun. While everyone loves some festive holiday pajamas, it will be curious to see how the bakers incorporate those designs. Although the pjs are part of the inspiration, the design doesn’t have to be literal.
Lastly, it will be curious to see this week’s twist element. What flavors go with a cozy day, lounging in your pjs?
