Is there a little mischief in this episode of Christmas Cookie Challenge? These cookies could be a little adventurous and a little sweet.

In this Christmas Cookies Challenge, the merry is mixed with a little mischief in the kitchen. While Christmas cookies are always tasty, a little fun in the kitchen can make them even sweeter. Which baker will find the right dash of merry in the mischief?

According to the Food Network, this week’s Christmas Cookie Challenge episode will feature the following:

"There’s no hiding when Eddie Jackson tasks five of America’s best cookie makers with creating Christmas character masks made of cookies. Judges Vivian Chan, Ree Drummond and Dan Langan decide which masks are marvelous and which are just misses. Then there are more ho-ho-hijinks as a mischievous elf pops up in the pantry and all over the workshop! Inspired by his antics, Eddie asks the cookie makers to create delightful 3-D cookie displays capturing the elf’s adventures. Mischief and mayhem abound as the cookie maker who best captures this tiny terror earns $10,000."

The first challenge involving character masks is quite interesting. While this idea might sound a little more like Halloween versus Christmas, the idea could totally change what cookies you bring to the holiday exchange.

Thinking about a mask, these cookies might be big on details. The bakers who can find the intricacies in these cookies could really impress the judges.

For the second challenge, a 3-D cookie display can be difficult. Fallen cookies might be caused by little elves playing games, but the judges would prefer completed displays.

Given the theme of an elf’s adventure, the bakers have lots of creative choices. Maybe these elves might leave the North Pole for something warmer. Or, could these elves transform that sleigh into something a little more modern. The options are many.
