Bud Light Seltzer makes a holiday delivery to one special town

The holidays came early for this special town. Bud Light Seltzer rolled out the red carpet and gave everyone a taste of the highly anticipated Bud Light beverage.

Move over Santa, another sleigh made a special delivery. Bud Light Seltzer wanted to kick off the holidays early for one special town. While the newest Bud Light beverage will not be available until next year, one lucky town got their own delivery of this alcoholic seltzer. Who’s ready for a road trip?

For the town Seltzer, Pennsylvania, Bud Light brought the first delivery of the highly anticipated Bud Light Seltzer. What better place to give a first taste than a town named Seltzer? That town should know a little something about seltzer – right.

While Bud Light might be known for Dilly, Dilly and other entertaining commercials, this activation is different for the brand. Instead of a big name, flashy event, it choose to go to real people, real drinkers and to offer them something special.

Seltzer, Pennsylvania isn’t a huge town and may not be on anyone’s radar, but it was made special by Bud Light. In a way, it follows that idea of what people come to expect from Bud Light, having fun, finding a little humor and making every moment a little more special.

Andy Goeler, VP of Marketing Bud Light said is best, “Our ceremonial delivery allowed us to celebrate the people of Seltzer and helped them be amongst the first to sample it as well as mark the occasion the only way Bud Light can.”

Until January 2020, the only place that you can get Bud Light Seltzer is Seltzer, Pennsylvania. Now, it isn’t necessarily clear if the Seltzer Hose will be cracking open these cans for just anyone. Maybe some big Bud Light fans will be making a special trip to the town over the holidays. Still, the event is a fun choice for the brand.

Goeler said, “After all, the way we see it, the people of Seltzer probably know the most there is to know about Seltzer, so it made sense to launch our biggest product launch in years there.” So, Seltzer, Pennsylvania is “only place in the world where you can try it” until the nationwide launch next year.

While the promotion was a fun event, Bud Light should be applauded for the $15,000 to the local fireman relief fund. Although everyone enjoys a great beverage, those funds can go a long way in this particular town. That donation is definitely something to toast with the Bud Light Seltzer.

Starting in January 2020, Bud Light Seltzer will hit store shelves. Available in four flavors, Black Cherry, Lemon Lime, Strawberry and Mango, the 100 calories alcoholic seltzer will be available in 12-packs and single flavor cans. It will be available wherever beer is sold.
