Keto dieters have better success with these four helpful hints
As resolutions get harder to keep, keto dieters are looking for ways to keep their healthy eating choices on track. These four helpful hints can keep that resolution strong.
Are you one of the many keto dieters who have resolved to new eating choices? While people might have a plethora of tasty recipes and a pantry filled with low carb snacks, food is only one part of keeping those new eating habits.
Anyone who has incorporated a new eating lifestyle can attest that change is not always easy, nor do habits become ingrained overnight. While will power is a virtue, a few other non-food aspects can help to make those food choices stick.
According to the Kristin Kirkpatrick, RDN, Quest Nutrition spokesperson, she believes that four other factors can help keto dieters succeed in their new eating plans. Here are her recommendations.
Get a good night rest
Everyone knows that sleep is imperative for good health. When a person is well rested, it can be easier to stick to healthy eating choices. Aim for seven hours of sleep a night. Although this number might be difficult to achieve with busy schedules, small changes can turn into achievable goals.
8 for 8 water consumption
Drinking enough water has numerous benefits. While many people understand the importance of proper hydration, it can be more than just feeling and looking good. Sometimes dehydration masks itself as hunger. Aim for drinking at least eight, eight ounce glasses of water a day.

No snacks late night snacking
While binge watching your favorite show, it can be hard to turn away that bowl of snacks. Still, avoiding snacks after 8 p.m. can help to keep keto dieters on track. Those extra calories late at night can derail all those positive changes.
Bring on the cardio
The concept calories in versus calories out doesn’t change just because a person has opted for a new eating plan. Some steady state cardio can help to keep those changes on track. Just a few small changes could create a love affair with working out.
