As the plant based food movement continues to expand, Incogmeato is ready to take over your simmer grilling menu. Are you ready for a change?

From the sizzle on the grill to the aroma in the air, summer grilling brings people together. As more people embrace the plant based food movement, brands respond. Incogmeato from MorningStar Farms is ready to take over your grill. Are you ready to try a taste?

MorningStar Farms has been a leader in the plant based food movement. Long before people thought plant based food was beyond or impossible, this brand was giving people options to cut the meat and add in plant choices.

While some people lost their veginity with a MorningStar black bean burger, Incogmeato from MorningStar Farms is an expansion on their brand. This new line looks to offer a meat-like experience. It should be a great option for summer grilling.

Available in the new line will be burger patties, Italian Sausage and original bratwurst. Sold in the fresh meat aisle, these offerings are “made with non-GMO soy and have 100% plant-based protein.”

While the plant based burger has taken, the pork like products are starting to gain ground. People love the satisfaction of biting into a juicy brat, especially on a summer day. The key to these offerings is both the texture and the juiciness.

Additionally, the ability of these pork products to get that classic grill mark char will be important for many consumers. Often the best part of a brat or sausage from the grill is the grill marks.

Although FoodSided hasn’t taste tested the bratwurst or the Italian Sausage, generally these types of offerings are best enjoyed with paired with flavorful toppings. Although a spicy mustard is good, a bold slaw, spicy relish or other condiment can make the plant based food even more enjoyable.

If you are wishing for summer grilling season, you will have to wait a little while longer. The Incogmeato Burger Patties will be available in March and the Original Bratwurst and Italian Sausage will be available in June.
