Is your bracket ready for the Guy Fieri Tournament of Champions? This Food Network competition will crown one chef as the ultimate culinary champion.

Move over March Madness, Guy Fieri Tournament of Champions will be the big bracket competition that will have foodies cheering for their favorite chefs. The new Food Network show kicks off on March 4, but many foodies have been picking their ultimate winner. Which chef will be crowned the ultimate culinary champion?

Food Network competitions have been a staple of the network’s culinary programming. From the iconic Iron Chef to the Baking Championships to even the Buddy vs. Duff, foodies are drawn to see chefs competing in fast paced, quick thinking culinary competitions. While the home cook might look at a secret ingredient and draw a blank, these talented chefs excel in that pressure filled moment.

The new Guy Fieri Tournament of Champions uses a bracket style competition to narrow the field from 16 chefs to just one champion. Divided between East Coast and West Coast chefs, the chef competitors are a variety of familiar faces. While all of the chefs have numerous accolades, everyone will want to win the competition.

Competing in the tournament are: “East Coast are: Maneet Chauhan, Rocco DiSpirito, Alex Guarnaschelli, Elizabeth Falkner, Darnell Ferguson, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy and Christian Petroni. And West Coast are: Richard Blais, Eric Greenspan, Antonia Lofaso, Beau Macmillan, Jet Tila, Marcel Vigneron, Michael Voltaggio, and Brooke Williamson.” There are James Beard Award winners, Top Chef Winners and even an Iron Chef in that line-up.

Looking at the list of celebrity chefs, the competition will be heated. All of these chefs understand the pressures of these quick thinking culinary competitions. It will come down to who executes the dish with the most creative spin.

According to the Food Network, this competition is a single elimination, bracket style set-up. A “randomizer machine determines the protein, produce, equipment, cooking style, and time for each of the cook-offs.” Based on that statement, each competition could be really good or really bad. While the combination possibilities are many, the bad ones could be terrifying.

While fans will follow along with all the action, foodies at this weekend’s South Beach Wine and Food Festival will get a preview of the competition. At the Publix Culinary Demonstrations, Guy Fieri will host some of the competing chefs for a Tournament of Champions-inspired event. Participating will be Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy and Jet Tila. Also, judge Marcus Samuelsson and floor reporter Justin Warner will be on hand.

Which chef will be crowned the ultimate culinary champion on the Guy Fieri Tournament of Champions? Fill out your bracket and watch the premiere on March 4.
