Universal Orlando Resort has become a foodie destination. At its newest hotel, Universal’s Dockside Inn and Suites is serving up delicious comfort food.

While the ambiance conveys a beach getaway, Universal’s Dockside Inn and Suites has created a menu that is the ultimate comfort food with a slight modern twist. Whether you want a traditional beach-inspired favorite or are willing to push the flavor envelope, the newest Universal Orlando menu items will tempt you away from the theme parks and make you linger a little longer in the hotel.

For many travelers, a trip to Universal Orlando Resort is just as much about the magic in the Wizarding World as it is about the escape at a Universal Orlando Resort Hotel. With numerous styles and price options, Universal delivers what travelers want. From the luxurious stay for a couple to a huge suite for a family, the on-site hotel options add to the whole Universal experience.

The newest resort, Universal’s Dockside Inn and Suites, part of the Endless Summer Resort, has a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner options that blend a little whimsy with classic comfort food. Whether you want to totally indulge or eat a little lighter, these versions of some favorite dishes will have everyone coming back for time and again.

Over the past couple of years, chicken and waffles has become a popular menu item. What started as a brunch favorite has become an anytime tasty treat. At the Pier 8 Market, Universal’s culinary team has taken the chicken and waffles to a whole new level.

This chicken and waffles are an 8 piece fried chicken bucket, served with mashed potatoes, coleslaw and waffles. This meal is definitely worth sharing with a friend, but that friend needs to share your foodie preferences.

The best part of this meal is the choice of sauces. While a traditional syrup is often served with chicken and waffles, this menu item offers a choice of three sauces, Sloping Sticky Sauce, Rocket Man, and Southern Hot. If you prefer a more traditional maple syrup forward option, the Sloping Sticky Sauce with a hint bourbon and bacon is a must. For a more creative option, definitely try the Southern Hot that blends Buffalo and honey.

While the chicken and waffles might be a big meal, there is lighter fare available, too. From a garden pizza to grilled fish, there are all types of choices on the menu. Everyone will be able to find a choice to fit their lifestyle.

Another fun, innovative menu item is the Dockworker Wrap. While another hearty bite, this wrap has the French Fries inside the wrap itself. Although this idea might be out of convenience, it is a flavor experience that cannot be beat. Try putting French fries in your wrap and see how it tastes.

The Pier 8 Market serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. From vegetarian options like the avocado toast served in the morning to the gigantic BBQCB burger at dinner, these options give guests a new take on comfort foods. Each bite satisfies and leaves people coming back for more.

In addition to the Pier 8 Market, the resort offers a variety of bars and lounges where guests can sit back and relax with a beach-inspired cocktail or other beverage. Also, there are a variety of dessert options around the resort that are the ultimate indulgence.

Universal’s Dockside Inn and Suites opens on March 17, 2020. It is located near the previously opened Surfside Inn and Suites. Both resorts are part of Universal’s Endless Summer resort, considered part of Universal’s value option hotels.
