Tournament of Champions Season 1 episode 3 preview: No chef is safe
In Tournament of Champions, the East Coast underdog chefs have proven their worth. Now with just eight chefs remaining, who is next on the chopping block?
If your Tournament of Champions bracket isn’t busted, you better buy a lottery ticket. In just two episodes, the Food Network show has seen an Iron Chef and a Chopped judge bite the dust. While this show proves that anything can happen in the kitchen, the bigger question is can the East Coast chefs be the ultimate champion?
According to Food Network, this week’s episode, “Final Eight Revealed” features the following:
"Host Guy Fieri takes the Tournament of Champions to the next level as an intense second round begins. Pressure mounts for the final eight chefs as the competition and judging get tougher, and a shocking result makes it clear that no chef is safe."
Now, there are two more battles that need to be finalized to complete the final eight. Probably the most interesting battle will be Michael Voltaggio versus Brooke Williamson. While this cook-off is a battle of the Top Chef winners, the two chefs should be able to create something quite creative. Then again, that pesky randomizer could cause havoc.
Based on some preview clips, it seems that both chefs will be scrambling to finish the cook. It will be interesting to see what the final outcome of this battle will be.
Also, there is the East Coast battle of Rocco DiSpirito versus Maneet Chauhan. While this battle should be fairly even, it would be nice to see Maneet win. This tournament needs a few more women in round eight.
In the end, there is really no way to predict a winner in any of these battles. It does come down to the randomizer combination. It would be interesting to see the judges’ score cards, especially on the close battles. Wonder if there is any way to predict what the judges would prefer.
