The NFL Draft Boo the Commish tradition continues, even at home
Get your best boo ready. The NFL Draft Boo the Commish tradition will continue even from home this year and Bud Light makes it for a good cause.
Every year, the NFL Draft has football fans join in unison to boo the Commish. The annual tradition cannot just fade away because the NFL Draft goes virtual. Luckily, Bud Light is coming to the rescue.
From television shows to even the draft, the at home, self-shot videos are part of the norm. As football fans anxiously await who will be the first round pick or the last pick of the draft, one draft tradition almost faded. Is the draft really the draft without booing Roger Goodell?
On April 25, Goodell will be announcing the draft picks from home. While he might not immediately hear all the fans rousing boos, Bud Light is encouraging everyone to share their boo from home. In a recent social media post, Bud Light encouraged everyone to send in their video recorded boos this year.
Plus, the beer brand will donate $1 to NFL Draft A Thon for every boo submitted (up to $50,000) So, this year it isn’t just a tradition or sharing how you feel about the Commish. It is booing for charity. Shouldn’t everyone start booing for good?
Even during these uncertain times, traditions need to be honored. Just because sports on a hiatus doesn’t mean that all traditions have to fade away.
Maybe letting out that boo will make you feel better. It could be a statement about having enough of being stuck in the house with the kids. Or, what about booing for your dislike of the new Browns uniforms. And, maybe, just maybe, you are booing because watching another Patriots Super Bowl highlight reel is driving you over the edge. No matter the reason, let’s boo.
Since Bud Light will be sharing these boo the Commish, lets hope that people will get a little creative. Maybe the boos will be musical. Someone might make a boo dance. Or, could there be a Roger Goodell look alike booing himself? The possibilities are many.
No matter the reason or how, share your best boo the Commish this year. It is for a good cause. After all, how often does a boo do something good?
