A classic, one bite candy can spark a debate. The best Jelly Belly flavors can create a heated discussion over traditional versus creative jelly bean flavors.

It sounds like a simple question, but what are the best Jelly Belly flavors? While the infamous jelly bean company is always looking to innovate flavors and offerings, some people prefer old, school classics. Other people prefer to push the flavor envelope. Where do you stand on this jelly bean debate?

Scrolling through all the Jelly Belly offerings can be overwhelming. From the Bean Boozled line (if you dare to take that Fiery Heat Challenge) to cocktails to holiday offerings, there is a Jelly Belly candy for any and every occasion.

While the annual Sweets and Snacks Expo often highlights some new offerings for the company, the April 24 National Jelly Bean Day is a great time to think about that classic 50 flavor box. While this box is only a small sampling of all those jelly bean flavors, can you pick out the best Jelly Belly flavors? What if you only could pick 10 options?

In a 50 flavor box, the Jelly Belly flavors range from classics like Raspberry and Blueberry to unlikely favorites like Buttered Popcorn and Chili Mango. There are even some cocktail inspired choices like Margarita and soda options like A&W Root Beer. While it can be fun making various flavor combinations (I suggest the Margarita and Chili Mango for a spicy margarita), it can be hard to pick a list of just the best flavors.

Since ranking all 50 flavor is overwhelming, here are FoodSided’s top 10 best Jelly Belly Flavors.

Now, our findings are not scientific or even come with compelling reasons. Basically, these flavors are the ones that seem to disappear from that 50 flavor box first.

It could be the flavor, it could be the color. Maybe we were in a mood or maybe it was just that someone was out to trick us into think that one flavor is just better than the others. Again, it is just our opinion. Feel free to disagree and create your own list.

Truthfully, that 50 flavor box is great for playing with flavor combinations. Putting two Jelly Belly flavors together makes eating Jelly Belly’s exciting. It isn’t the challenge of Bean Boozled, but it is like a game.

As we mentioned before, the margarita and chili mango is a great combination. The same can be said of cinnamon and cappuccino. Even putting together buttered popcorn and toasted marshmallow words. Food is meant to be fun and mixing flavors is an entertaining game to play.

Jelly Belly continues to explore new flavors and trends. From savory notes to cocktails flavors, there will be no shortage of new options coming to the candy aisle.
