Food, travel and culinary adventure awaits in Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Season 2. What will Gordon Ramsay discover in this new season?

In Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Season 2, Gordon Ramsay sets off on more culinary adventure. After a successful first season, foodies and travel enthusiasts were intrigued by the connection between food and culture.

Traveling the world, this National Geographic, Gordon Ramsay culinary adventure gave viewers a glimpse into different cultures. While each show might have had Gordon eating exotic foods or participating in precarious situations, there was a bigger theme to the show. In the end, each episode showcased how food and culture are entwined.

On June 7, Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted premieres a new season of culinary adventures. The seven episode season takes Gordon across the globe. This season’s locations include Tasmania, South Africa, Indonesia, Louisiana, Norway, India and Guyana.

Ramsay said, “We get the opportunity to learn from the locals and hear their stories, and that gives us a much deeper experience and understanding of the world around us.”

Overall, the idea of connecting food and culture is clear. While the typical American might light up the backyard grill, the South African culture turns to the braai. Although the method looks different, there are similarities. When people realize the connections, they can better explore the food on their own table.

Of course, many people will watch the new season to see the unusual situations that Ramsay undertakes. From jumping out of a helicopter to exploring Indonesian caves, the locales offer exhilarating backdrops.

For the foodie, the recipes that are part of each episode offer inspiration. While some of the ingredients might not be available at the local grocery store, some ideas and combinations could be incorporated into any family meal. Cooking creativity isn’t limited to the celebrity chef.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted Season 2 premieres on National Geographic on Sunday, June 7 at 10 p.m. EST.
