Buffalo Wild Wings, America’s sports bar, understands that restaurants need to adapt. Its first GO restaurant could be a sign of things to come.

If you live in Atlanta, a new Buffalo Wild Wings is coming to your area. The first GO restaurant offers takeout and to-go orders only. Although this restaurant is slightly more than just counter service, it is clear that BWW is ready to pivot to a new model.

According to BWW, the GO Restaurant is an 1,800 square foot restaurant. While guests cannot eat the food at the location, there is condensed seating and televisions for guests to enjoy as they wait for their orders. Still, the location is set up like counter service.

This new location is in direct response to the changes that BWW has implemented in the past several months. According to John Bowie, Chief Operating Officer, Buffalo Wild Wings. “We’ve seen the success of this model over the past six weeks, with our takeout and delivery business growing over 140%. Buffalo Wild Wings ‘GO’ is perfect for friends and family who want to enjoy our authentic, New York-style buffalo wings at home.”

While many people will want to enjoy a dozen wings with friends while watching their favorite sports, restaurants need to pivot and adapt. Whether it is embracing counter service, to-go models or something else, the old model is no longer vital.

As this GO restaurant opens on May 13, it will be interesting to see how it expands to other areas. Although the concept should not completely replace the entire BWW model, it provides options.

America’s Sports Bar caters to those moments when friends gather to watch a huge playoff game, a college match-up or just that weekend diversion. Just like the enjoyment of watching live sports in the moment, watching those sports at your favorite sports bar can be an important return to “normal” life.

If you live in the Atlanta area, the Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant is located at 5840 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, Georgia. It will open on May 13.
