Questlove’s Potluck will be the Food Network ultimate dinner party
Wonder what to bring to a star-studded dinner party? Questlove’s Potluck on Food Network will bring his famous friends around the table.
Even though dinner parties now have a virtual spin, the new Food Network Questlove’s Potluck brings together some famous dinner guests for this lively event. Airing on Thursday, May 28 at 10 p.m. EST/PST, this special potluck event will benefit America’s Food Fund. Since there is a little time till the special event, what are you going to bring to the table?
Food Network has been finding innovative ways to entertain and engage viewers. As many Food Network stars bring viewers into their homes with self-shot videos, the connection with many famous foodies grows. As everyone appreciates the concept of “we cook” these special events bring even more people into the kitchen.
Hosted by Questlove, the potluck should be quite entertaining. While Questlove is a fixture on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he is a huge foodie. From his Food Salons to his many cookbooks, including Mixtape Potluck Cookbook, Questlove shows how music and food can play off each other. Since both genres feature creativity, one can inspire the other.
In this special Food Network event, Questlove will be joined by “Bun B., Hannibal Buress, Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, Ashley Graham, Tiffany Haddish, Patti LaBelle, Eva Longoria, George Lopez, Kenan Thompson, Tariq Trotter, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Wilde, Roy Wood Jr., with more names to be announced.”
"“Bringing together friends, collaborators, and those who I admire around food is something I love to do. When I can bring people together around a cause that I care deeply about, it’s even more meaningful,” said Questlove. “America’s Food Fund is supporting several organizations including Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, and No Kid Hungry, that are tackling one of the biggest issues many of our neighbors are facing, access to food.”"
While the specific dishes have not been revealed, the event will feature a variety of recipes and favorite cocktails. As everyone knows, a potluck isn’t always about how the dishes pair together. The stories behind each dish and how people respond around the table is what makes the dinner memorable. Even if five people bring pasta and someone brought ambrosia salad, the vibrant conversation can make any dish taste better.
Since everyone can be a part of this virtual potluck, why not mix up your own special cocktail, bake some cookies or just eat some cold pizza. Bringing everyone together to enjoy the moment is the best part of a potluck.
What is your go-to potluck dish? What would you bring to Questlove’s Potluck?
