Making frosty root beer floats or even Coke floats at home is easy.

The summer time is here, and you can now cool down with a nice frosty beverage like  root beer and Coke floats! Here’s how you can make your own at home during the global pandemic.

There’s nothing better than sitting outside with a root beer or cola float. I have been wanting to make some at home to avoid going out unless needed. You can go on ahead and order the items ahead for pickup, or even do an Instacart order for delivery.

I have been a fan of drinking floats with ice cream and soda since I was a little kid, and below you can find some recipes for root beer and coke floats.

First thing you will obviously need is vanilla ice cream. Second off, you’ll need any brand root beer or cola you can find in the store. You also need a big glass to add the stuff too, of course. You just spoon a scoop of ice cream into a cup or mug, slowly pour the root beer in the glass allowing foam to rise and resend before adding more. Last but not least, you can serve with a spoon and/or straw if desired.

I used the recipe from SimplyRecipes for this, but you can also Google and find more recipe ideas if need be.

This recipe applies to a Cola float too, so you’re pretty much set on how to make these at home. Speaking of these, you can find the Coca Cola recipe at an Arby’s near you if you wish to just pick one up to go. I’ve tried one last year or so, and it was amazing with the Coke in it. I forgot how much it was, but it was pretty filling and a nice twist from Arby’s.
