Have you been to Flavortown? That term has been made famous by Guy Fieri in his popular Food Network show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Now, a real city is ready to change its name and Bud Light Seltzer is stepping up to be the refreshing beverage for those drinkers who appreciate good flavor.

Any food fan will tell you that flavor is king. Bland food and beverages are more than just boring. If you are going to enjoy food, it needs to exciting. Otherwise everyone should eating plain white bread and drink water.

One of the reasons why Guy Fieri and his idea of Flavortown resonates is because people enjoy discovering amazing food and beverages. Whether it is the place that you’ve driven past and never thought to stop or a special trip to a place on television, that food becomes an adventure.

Recently, a petition has been circulated to change the name of Columbus, Ohio to Flavortown. Over 25,000 residents signed the petition to change the name.

For one, it honors Central Ohio’s proud heritage as a culinary crossroads and one of the nation’s largest test markets for the food industry. Secondly, cheflebrity Guy Fieri was born in Columbus, so naming the city in honor of him (he’s such a good dude, really) would be superior to its current nomenclature.”

The reasoning for the change is interesting. Yes, Columbus has become a foodie destination. In some ways, the new name could bring even more people to the area.

Plus, Guy Fieri has been a leader during the recent restaurant crisis. This philanthropic efforts have helped many struggling businesses. Why not celebrate him through this name change.

Since Flavortown needs a great beverage, Bud Light is ready to provide. According to the brand, Bud Light will offer feee Bud Light Seltzer to all residents of Flavortown, Ohio. Yes, the name change has to happen.

If you remember correctly, Bud Light likes these special promotions. When the Bud Light Seltzer, the brand launched in Seltzer, Pennsylvania. These types of promotions are engaging and well received by everyone involved.
