Worst Cooks in America is ready to take a tasting trip to Italy.

After playing culinary games, the Worst Cooks in America recruits are set to take a food trip to Italy in this week’s episode. While this week’s challenge might be more than spaghetti and meatballs, will the recruits survive the challenge or sleep with the fishes?

According to Food Network, this week’s Worst Cooks in America episode, “When in Boot Camp,” features the following:

"The recruits take a trip to Italy by playing a game of blindly identifying Italian ingredients using touch, taste and smell. Then, Chef Anne Burrell and Chef Alex Guarnaschelli test the recruits on making Italian antipasto in the skill drill challenge. In the main dish challenge, the recruits must replicate a classic Italian American dish in order to stay in boot camp for another week."

Thinking of the first challenge, this game will be quite difficult. A blind taste test is incredibly hard for professional chefs let alone these recruits. Hopefully, the ingredients will be relatively straight forward. Even though it can be humorous to watch, no one wants to see everyone fail.

In the second challenge, an antipasto shouldn’t be too hard for the recruits to handle. That type of dish is relatively straight forward. As long as the recruits follow directions, they should be able to handle that challenge.

For the elimination challenge, that challenge will be quite interesting. Although it is unclear what dish that the recruits will have to make, it could be a pasta forward dish. Making fresh pasta isn’t incredibly difficult, but the recruits need to listen and pay attention. Pasta would be easier than the jerk chicken recipes from last week.

Overall, the addition of Alex Guarnaschelli has seemed to make this Food Network competition harder. These dishes and challenges have bolder flavors and more required skills. There is no hiding in this season. It seems that the Iron Chef is ready to whip these recruits into shape.
