How should Krispy Kreme celebrate its 83rd birthday? With free doughnuts of course! Sometimes the best birthday celebrations are the ones that give everyone a special gift.
On July 17th, Krispy Kreme is giving everyone a gift. At participating locations, guests who purchase a dozen of doughnuts will receive a free Original Glazed dozen. This offer is available during Hot Light hours.
While the famous doughnut brand might have labeled July 17 the hottest day of the year, this designation isn’t based on the soaring summer temperatures. That Hot Light will be on longer to celebrate the 83rd birthday. From starting earlier in the morning to keeping it on later, it seems that the Hot Light is a bright reminder to get some free doughnuts on July 17.
According to Chief Marketing Officer Dave Skena, “On our birthday, Krispy Kreme fans get the gifts. This year we’re giving away a FREE Original Glazed dozen with purchase of any dozen, and running the Hot Light day and night because we sure need something sweet to happen in 2020.”
Throughout this year, the popular doughnut brand has continued to find creative ways to bring a little taste of sweet to brighten people’s days. From the free doughnuts to share with others to seasonal treats to even selling doughnuts at Walmart, it seems that clear that doughnuts can make almost any day a little brighter.
With this special free doughnuts promotion for its 83rd birthday, it brings up a very difficult question for doughnut fans. Do you keep that extra free dozen for yourself or do you share with others?
