Cupcake LightHearted Wine brings innovation to your wine glass

Over the years, Cupcake Vineyards has delivered the wine that many women drinkers have come to love. Now, the favorite wine brand brings innovation to the wine industry by offering Cupcake LightHearted. With one sip of this wine, you heart might soar in delight.

For many people, a glass of wine is a the moment to unwind, enjoy a conversation with a friend or the perfect pairing for a delicious meal. While every sip offers a moment of enjoyment, sometimes there is a nagging voice whispering in the back of your mind. From calories to alcohol content, that perfect sip become muddled with a splash of guilt. A wine glass should always be full of happiness, nothing else.

Recently, beverage trends have moved toward lower calorie, lower alcohol content. While the glass of wine calls, it may not fall into those beverage trends. Still, that glass of hard seltzer or light beer doesn’t not deliver the same satisfaction as a glass of wine.

Cupcake Vineyards has found a solution that will make wine drinkers hearts soar in delight. The new Cupcake LightHearted delivers the glass of wine that wine drinkers crave without the extras that they don’t.

This new Cupcake Wine is just 80 calories a serving, less than 1 gram of sugar and 8% alcohol. The low carb, gluten free, low sugar and vegan wine is definitely a wine drinker’s dream come true.

Building on the concept that less is more, this wine is a new direction for the premium wine brand. It isn’t a spritzer or a hard seltzer. It is the wine that you have come to love, just with less of wine guilt.

For wine drinkers, the calories, sugar and alcohol content matter but the taste brings wine drinkers back for bottle after bottle. As wine drinkers have come to expect from Cupcake Vineyards, these wines deliver with every sip.

Available in four varieties, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Rosè and Pinot Noir, there is a wine for every occasion and every pairing. Although these wines are slightly more fruit forward, there are many similarities to the classic Cupcake Vineyards varietals.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try the Cupcake LightHearted wine. After trying some of the wine on its own and even comparing the classic Cupcake Vineyards wines to the new lighter options, I was pleasantly surprised. There have been many enjoyable wine hours in the house.

The first wine that l tried was the Pinot Grigio. The citrus forward wine is bright and crisp. On a warm summer afternoon, it was quite refreshing. With notes of lemon and a slight sweetness from apple, the wine seemed to awaken the palate with each sip.

Personally, I enjoyed this wine with a light cheese plate on leisurely weekend. After a little more thought, it would be delightful with a spicy Asian noodle dish as well. The brightness of the flavors would balance the spice.

The most surprising wine is definitely the rosè. Just by looking at a side by side comparison in a glass it is hard to tell the difference.

More importantly, the flavor profiles are quite similar. The watermelon adds the refreshing note without being too sweet. With a touch of tart from the grapefruit, it is perfect for that next all day rosè occasion.

While I enjoy the Cupcake Rosè transformed into a wine cocktail, I tried that with the Cupcake LightHearted as well. It worked perfectly (and had me spend a little less time on the treadmill the following day).

Equally delightful is making some watermelon rosè frozen cubes to float in my wine glass. After cutting watermelon in chunks the size of ice cube trays, I poured a little of the rosè over them and let them sit in the freezer for a while. It kept my wine cold on a hot day and had the added bonus of giving me a piece of fruit to eat while drinking my wine.

If you prefer a subtle oaky chardonnay, the Cupcake LightHearted Chardonnay is a lovely choice. While not quite as buttery, the notes of pineapple come through. In a way, it is a slightly tropical version of a chardonnay.

Lastly, the LightHearted Pinot Noir is a juicy wine. While it feels a little less structured than the traditional Cupcake Pinot Noir, the wine is perfect for an evening. The wine feels subtle yet evolves with each sip.

While the Pinot Noir works well with a steak, it is even more enjoyable with a piece of chocolate cake. If you are looking for a touch of indulgence, this wine with a piece of chocolate is the perfect end to a long day.

The Cupcake LightHearted wines are available at various retailers. Additionally, these new wines can be purchased online.

Take a moment to enjoy life and pour yourself a glass of Cupcake LightHearted, your wine heart will soar a little.
