Kick up your Bloody Mary with Smokin’ Mary Bloody Mix.

There’s nothing better than a well embellished Bloody Mary for summer brunch or lunch. You know what I’m talking about – first you rim the glass with a mixture of celery salt, cumin and smoked paprika;  add the staples – horseradish, Worcestershire, salt & pepper, cayenne, a stalk of crisp celery and then you can get really creative!

Bacon, olives, spicy green beans and even shrimp are fabulous embellishments.  But possibly the most important ingredient is the Bloody Mary mix. Not just any mix will do and have I got the mix for you!

Smokin’ Mary Bloody Mary Mix has a thicker tomato consistency than most mixes on the market. Spices and peppers give it a zesty kick plus, you guessed it, their signature smoky flavor. According to their website the mix is “so good that when an editor for Food & Beverage Magazine tasted it, she said, “Can I tell you a secret? It’s the best Bloody Mary mix I’ve ever had.”  Choose from:

Smokin’ Mary Original: garden fresh tomatoes, lemons, limes, horseradish and is Hickory smoked. Mix with vodka, gin, tequila, or beer.

Green With Envy: vine-ripened green tomatoes, lime and serrano peppers and mesquite smoke. Mix with vodka, gin or tequila.

Li’l Tart: sweet smoked Bloody Mary mix. Fresh tomatoes, a variety of citrus juices, chipotle and mesquite smoke. Mix with tequila or vodka.

Laurie, the creative force behind the Smokin’ Mary brand grew up on a dairy farm in Northern California where she remembers vibrant red tomatoes growing in her mother’s garden. She enjoyed cooking up gourmet foods with her favorite ingredient – tomatoes! Then she met Marc who had a wood smoker. They decided to combine their love of tomatoes and wood smoke into their fabulous Smokin’ Mary Bloody Mary Mix.

Not just for making libations, Smokin’ Mary makes a tasty ingredient for all kinds of savory dishes. Chili, cocktail sauce, guacamole, pulled pork, tangy street tacos…they are all in her free cookbook available on her website.
