Shake up a Clippers Signature Serve for the return of the LA Clippers.

As the LA Clippers return to action in the NBA Bubble, the Clippers Signature Serve cocktail is the perfect beverage to toast the team. No matter the final game score, just seeing live basketball is a reason to raise a glass to celebrate.

Although fans will only be able to see live basketball via a screen, just having live sports for everyone’s viewing pleasure has many people excited. Whether it is brands offering a virtual experience or just finally watching basketball, not the movie BASEketball again, people seem a little happier. Truthfully, even some non-sports fans might watch because they are tired of watching another episode of the Floor is Lava.

As the sipping partner of the LA Clippers, Sesión Premium Tequila is suggesting the Clippers Signature Serve as a beverage for tonight’s tip-off. Here’s how to make one.

Clippers Signature Serve

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ oz Sesión Blanco
  • ⅔ oz Ancho Reyes Liqueur
  • 1 bar spoon of Aperol
  • ⅓ oz Yuzu Juice
  • 1 bar spoon of Vanilla Syrup
  • 1 ½ oz Chilled Hibiscus Tea
  • 3 dashes of Bittermens Xocolatl Mole Bitters

Method:

  • Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Top with ice, shake and strain over ice in a cocktail glass. Garnish with dehydrated lemon topped with edible blue flowers and enjoy!

Looking at this cocktail, it might be a little intimidating for people. If you aren’t a big mixologist, your home bar might not be stocked with these ingredients. Mole Bitters are not often behind my bar.

Still, you can use this cocktail as inspiration for a LA Clippers inspired drink. Think about how the flavors combine together for the perfect sip.

Basically, this tequila cocktail balances sweet, spicy, herbal and citrus. If you have hibiscus tea, you could make a riff on this cocktail. Use the Sesión Blanco, Aperol and a little simple syrup instead of vanilla syrup. Also, you could squeeze a lime or lemon to get the citrus and a dash of spice to bring the heat.

But, if you have all these ingredients at home (or something similar), this Clippers Signature Serve is definitely a tasty libation. It is so good, you might want a second one for the fourth quarter. Unlike at a real game, you can have an alcoholic beverage late into the game as long as you are staying safely on your couch.

Although enjoying this LA Clippers signature cocktails does not guarantee a victory on the court, it does look a lot better than some of that NBA bubble food. Cheers to that.
