Kraft Mac and Cheese is a great breakfast food, parents agree
Why can’t Kraft Mac and Cheese be a breakfast food?
Have you served Kraft Mac and Cheese for breakfast? While the breakfast for dinner food trend is still popular, some non-traditional breakfast foods are gaining in popularity. Does the clock really dictate what you should or should not eat? It might be time to grab a blue box off the shelf.
This year has been full of struggles. The Groundhog Day feeling that seems to have taken over our lives has impacted many families’ eating habits. From the non-stop eating to those specific cravings, the traditional food served at particular meals seems to have faded.
For many families, the struggle to keep picky eaters happy has been rough. According to a recent study, “56% of parents have served that their kids Mac & Cheese for breakfast more often during COVID-19 related state lockdowns than in previous months.”
Thinking about the choice, truthfully why can’t people have Mac & Cheese for breakfast? Who hasn’t had pizza for breakfast? That bowl of cheesy pasta is filling, and kids want to eat it. Thinking about it, might be healthier for the kids to eat a bowl of Mac & Cheese versus a box of donuts.
Kraft Mac and Cheese is embracing the mac and cheese breakfast routine. As stated by Kelsey Cooperstein of Kraft Heinz, “A Kraft Mac & Cheese breakfast is a win-win for families at a time when they need all the wins they can get.” The brand is ready to celebrate that breakfast, lunch and dinner quality to its iconic blue box of cheesy pasta goodness.
Now through August 7, Kraft is giving away a limited-edition Breakfast Box. The box includes a colorable placemat, a special magnet and the “breakfast” mac and cheese. Additionally, the “breakfast” labeled boxes will be available in stores next year.
Thinking about mac and cheese as a breakfast food, it could be a great way for families to start the day with a hearty meal. Why not add some breakfast sausage to that mac and cheese to boost the protein? Or, consider adding some vegetables, too.
Breakfast pasta dishes are quite good. By using the Kraft Mac and Cheese simplifies the process. In some ways, this breakfast compromise could encourage kids to try some new foods. Sometimes breaking the “rules” can be a good thing.
Let’s all open that blue box and enjoy some Kraft Mac and Cheese for breakfast. It could be that spark of food creativity that makes the day a little brighter.
Have your eating habits changed this year? Do you always eat the same breakfast food?
