A new month brings new Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Doughnut Collection is raising the pumpkin spice bar. With four pumpkin perfect doughnuts in this collection, it can be difficult to choose a favorite. Luckily, you can buy a whole dozen (or two).

This year’s Krispy Kreme Pumpkin Spice Doughnut Collection features fan favorites and a new doughnut flavor. The doughnuts are: Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut, Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut, Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Doughnut and new Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Doughnut.

To say that Krispy Kreme has embraced its pumpkin side is an understatement. Maybe that Krispy Kreme Red Light might have an orange glow during September thanks to all the pumpkin flavors.

Looking at the four doughnuts, the new Pumpkin Spice Cinnamon Roll Doughnut is the most interesting. Described as a “pumpkin spice doughnut, tossed in pumpkin spice sugar blend and topped with cream cheese icing and cinnamon schmear” sounds most decadent.

In a way, Krispy Kreme has uncovered the doughnut cinnamon roll mash-up of food fantasy. It has all the flavors that you want. In some ways, why haven’t doughnut brands thought of this idea before.

Of course, the Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed is always a great treat. Even though the classic Krispy Kreme doughnut is always a tasty choice, the seasonal twist cannot be missed. Although, it might be better enjoyed with some black coffee. Sometimes pumpkin on pumpkin can be pumpkin overload.

Lastly, the Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Doughnut is more like a dessert than a breakfast food. With the creamy cheesecake filling and cheesecake icing, it is definitely a sweet bite. Even with the warm spices, there is a lot of sweetness.
