Recently, PepsiCo, which is behind MTN DEW, formed a new relationship with Red Lobster. Now, when you have a craving for those irresistible Cheddar Bay biscuits or a lobster feast, a MTN DEW can be waiting to quench that thirst.

To kick off this relationship, the pair have created the first ever MTN DEW cocktail, the DEW Garita.  Can you believe that there wasn’t this cocktail on a menu before?

While neither MTN DEW nor Red Lobster will reveal the secret recipe, people should expect the classic MTN DEW flavor to come through in each sip. Similar to the citrus flavors in a margarita, the MTN DEW makes a great flavor alternative. Based on the picture, it appears that a special salt is on the rim. Whether the “margarita” is carbonated or not remains to be seen.

The new DEW Garita will start appearing in select Red Lobster locations in September. The cocktail will be available nation wide by the end of the year. Check with your local restaurant for availablity.

While the DEW Nation will be thrilled with this offering, guests should expect to see more innovative beverages. According to Hugh Roth, Chief Customer Officer, PepsiCo Global Foodservice. “With both of our brands on deck to wow guests, we can’t wait to dream up more phenomenal flavor pairings together to bring some very special offerings and experiences to the table.”

Given the wide breadth of PepsiCo products, the creative beverage innovation is vast. Maybe there could be a special beverage pairing to the signature Red Lobster fests.

For now, the DEW Garita is about to be shaken up to the delight of many. But what special Red Lobster dish pairs perfectly with that MTN DEW cocktail?
