Progresso Toppers make soup season even more convenient

As people crave more comfort foods, Progresso Toppers have made that warm bowl of soup more convenient. More importantly, you don’t have to worry about doing the dishes, again.

Over the past several months, families have spent more time at home. While that change might have reduced the frequency of dining out, it increased the amount of dirty dishes piled in the sink.

Recently, Progresso found that 47%  of parents said that they constantly have dirty dishes in the sink. Even with the best chore chart, those piles of dirty dishes can create family strife, not to mention dish pan hands.

Progresso has come up with a convenient solution, Progresso Toppers. The classic Progresso soup that people love comes in an easy meal time solution, no mess and definitely no dishes.

With this new offering, Progresso is excited to offer our classic soups with tasty toppings for an extra crunch, that’s big on flavor when you’re short on time.”

The new Progresso Toppers offering comes in five flavors, Chicken Noodle with Oyster Crackers, Tomato Basil with Cheddar Crackers, Broccoli Cheese with Oyster Crackers, Loaded Potato with Fried Onion Strings and Chicken Tortilla with Tortilla Strips. Simply heat the soup, then add the crunchy toppings.

The key to each of these offerings is the extra crunch from the toppings. Many people enjoy adding toppings to soup. The extra crunch adds to eating satisfaction.

Looking at the five flavors, a few of the items are classic soup combinations. Oyster crackers and chicken noodle soup is popular get well remedy. Tomato soup and cheddar crackers are often a kid’s favorite combination. And, who doesn’t put tortilla strips on chicken tortilla soup.

While all these classic comfort foods are tasty, the loaded potato and fried onion strings packs the most flavor. In some ways, this flavor combination could even influence how you eat a classic baked potato.
