As Halloween Wars approaches the finale, the three final teams must plan their ultimate escape. With this week’s theme channeling a deeply rooted fear, maybe the teams need that monster support group to help them feel better. Which team finds the best path to the finale?

According to Food Network, this week’s Halloween Wars episode, “Trapped with a Monster,” features the following:

"Jonathan Bennett challenges the final three teams — an expert pumpkin carver, a cake artist and a sugar master — to create stunning and scrumptious Halloween-themed displays showing the claustrophobic terror of being trapped with a monster. Actress Jocelin Donahue joins judges Shinmin Li and Todd Tucker to choose the two teams for the final."

Thinking about this week’s theme, it will be interesting to see if the teams focus on the monster or the trapped scene. While the monster needs to capture the scary, it has to have a touch of the enticing. Sometimes the scariest monsters are the ones based on familiar stories.

As the teams have learned over the various challenges, the judges want to see a complete display. From the placement of the characters to negative space in the scene. It is more than just one gigantic character.

Looking at the remaining three teams, it could be anyone’s title. Each of the teams have had impressive wins and some disappointments. It will come down to which teams interpret the theme the best.
