Pringles Scorchin tests the limits of bold flavor snacking
Get a glass of milk ready because Pringles Scorchin is here to test your spice tolerance.
Pringles Scorchin is bolder than any flavor stacking combination that you could imagine. The all new spicy snack from Pringles is meant to surprise even the most ardent spice lover. Are you prepared to handle the bold flavor?
As seen in recent food trends, bold, spicy flavors are taking over. From restaurant menus to snacks, plain, traditional flavors are being pushed off the shelf. Today, people want flavors that surprise them with each bite.
The new Pringles Scorchin is the latest flavor innovation from the popular snack. While you can still flavor stack these crisps, you might want to build to that extreme flavor combination.
Available in three flavors, Pringles Scorchin Cheddar, Pringles Scorchin BBQ and Pringles Scorchin Chili & Lime, these flavors take traditionally popular flavors and amp up the spice level.
Before looking at each flavor, one aspect to these crisps is quite interesting. According to Pringles, the flavor builds over time. That aspect is quite interesting.
Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles, said, “As we created this collection, we knew spice was important, but we also wanted to preserve the insanely accurate flavors our fans have come to expect from our products. I’m proud to say, we have succeeded on both fronts to offer the perfect balance of bold flavor and spicy heat that builds over time.”
When a super spicy flavor first hits, it can trick the mind that you can handle the heat. The idea that the spiciest notes hit first, you can feel the relief knowing that the “worst” is over.
If this flavor builds over time, the snack fans could be in for a new experience. Other snack brands do not offer this flavor experience. It could entice many people to try the new Pringles Scorchin.
Looking at the three flavors, the Chili & Lime flavor will definitely be a popular choice. The balance of a bright, zesty lime and a spicy chili is a classic combination. Even if you tried a sour cream Pringles on a flavor snack to tame the flames, this flavor will be a must try.
The Cheddar flavor has the most versatility. Who doesn’t like a little spicy cheese flavor? Even if you used this crisp as a topping to a burger, it has a lot of possibilities.
The Pringles Scorchin flavors will be available in a limited release later this year and a wider release will happen in 2021.
What do you think of the new Pringles flavor? Could you make the ultimate flavor stack with them?
