While the bar might be stocked, holiday mocktails offer some refreshing flavors that can keep the festivities merry and bright all season long. From classic holiday flavors to new twists on traditional favorites, these mocktails might become the star of the holiday season.

Although a holiday cocktail might be the perfect toast for some occasions, a mocktail can bring a touch of balance to any holiday celebration. Whether you prefer to skip the alcohol completely or do a one for one swap, mocktail recipes can be flavorful and refreshing. Sometimes, these holiday beverages could outshine that classic cocktail.

Here are a few holiday mocktails that will be part of FoodSided’s holiday festivities.

AHA Wintergreen Sparkler

Mint is a classic winter flavor. As a way to bring a little burst of refreshment on a cold day, this mocktail combines it with other classic holiday flavors. The white cranberry juice is a little sweet while the AHA Sparkling Water Strawberry + Cucumber is refreshing.

Here’s how to make the AHA Wintergreen Sparkler.

Ingredients:

  • AHA Sparking Water Strawberry + Cucumber
  • 3 oz White Cranberry Juice
  • 1 Fresh Mint Sprig (5 leaves)
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lime Juice (about 0.25oz)
  • Lime Wheel

Method:

  • Add white cranberry juice, mint leaves, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker full of ice.
  • Shake thoroughly and pour directly into a highball glass.
  • Top with AHA Sparkling Water Strawberry + Cucumber, and garnish with lime wheel.

Tip: Remember to just the AHA Sparkling water at the end, as a floater. Never put a sparkling beverage in a cocktail shaker.

Winter Chill

Whether there is snow on the ground or just a chill in the air, a little winter inspired cocktail could get everyone into the holiday spirit. This mocktail from Red Bull mimics the wintery fun that makes people enjoy while being outside.  Although not sugar plums in this mocktail, the flavors are perfect on a winter afternoon.

Winter Chill

Ingredients:

  • 2 Plums
  • 1.5-ounce lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chilled water

Method:

  • Dice two small plums into small cubes.
  • Add vanilla extract to the diced plums, mix and place in the refrigerator overnight.
  • After the mixture has sat overnight, add 1.5 ounce of lemon juice.
  • Add all ingredients and 1 cup of chilled water to the blender and blend for 30 seconds.
  • Let rest for five minutes and strain.
  • Top with Red Bull Winter Edition Arctic Berry

Miraval Moment Mocktail

Even if the holiday vacation escape has been postponed, it doesn’t mean that you can’t bring a sip of that wanderlust to your home. Miraval Resort is known for creating experiences with a person’s wellbeing in mind.

This particular mocktail from the resort offers a flavorful sip that entices you to enjoy the moment. The layers of flavors and the good for you ingredients show that a mocktail could become your new signature beverage.

Miraval Moment Mocktail Recipe:

Ingredients:

Add into Boston shaker

  • entire orange (with peel)
  • ginger
  • A couple slices of cucumbers
  • Some jalapeno slices
  • Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • Lime juice
  • Lemon juice
  • Tablespoon of honey diluted with water
  • Club soda
  • Fresh cilantro

Method:

  • Take muddle stick and push and twist ingredients to tear the fibers, releasing nutrients and oils, for 30 seconds
  • Fill shaker half way with ice
  • Put top on shaker and shake for 15-20 seconds
  • Fill drinking glass with ice
  • Use a strainer to pour liquid from shaker into glass
  • Top with more club soda
