Everyone knows that the holidays will look different this year. It is time to put some positive spin on the hand that everyone is dealt. Don’t put baby in the corner and let her cry in her wine glass. It is time to put on your big girl pants, raise a glass and embrace the holidays. There’s only one Grinch at Christmas and he never relinquishes that role.

If you aren’t familiar with The Home Edit, Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin have one of the most popular shows on Netflix. While many people have become infatuated with their interior design aesthetic, the best-selling authors are experts behind the bar. With their tips and tricks, the reimagined holidays are could be the ultimate celebration.

Recently, The Home Edit shared some tips to make any reimagined holiday event merry and bright. From holiday gifting suggestions to themed décor, their suggestions are simple for anyone to master.

Since the holidays are always about the food and beverages, a few of the tips could make anyone’s celebration the belle of the ball. One great option is to create a signature cocktail.

The Home Edit suggests creating a signature cocktail for the event. In one area, set up all the ingredients for the cocktail with the recipe. This method keeps the host out from behind the bar and engages the guests.

Also, that signature cocktail can coordinate with other food and beverage offerings. For example, boards are a huge trend. Why not match the cocktail to the foods on the board. From charcuterie to dessert, food and beverages can be colored coded and festive.
