The Weeknd is set to take the stage at the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show.

In a few short months, The Weeknd will perform at the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show. Following last year’s stunning performance by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, this upcoming performance needs to knock it out of the park. As one of the most influential performers of the past decade, The Weeknd is up for the task.

Similar to last year, Pepsi, the NFL and the Roc Nation have partnered in the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show. Given the big production value from last year’s dynamic performance, this year’s show should be equally as exciting.

“We all grow up watching the world’s biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position. I’m humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year,” The Weeknd said.

While this NFL season has had ups and downs, the Super Bowl will be an reason to celebrate. No matter which the teams playing for the title or the amount of people in the stands, the final game of the season is a reason to go out on a high note.

Although The Weeknd impresses music fans with his infectious beats and inspiring lyrics, the performance will be more than just simple performance. Everyone is expecting a spectacular event fitting of the occasion.

Adam Harter, Senior Vice President, Sports, Media and Entertainment, PepsiCo said, “In collaboration with the NFL and Roc Nation, we continue to reimagine what a Pepsi Halftime Show looks like with some of the biggest musicians in the world. We expect The Weeknd will continue to raise the bar, setting a new precedent both musically and visually for the most-watched performance of the year.”

Without giving away any details, it can be assumed by this statement that the performance will be as impressive in person as it will be on a screen. The specific reference to visual seems to imply that the halftime performance could be blend of all the arts.

As the past year has seen, live music has had to adapt. While music might be performed at a distance, this huge event will be an opportunity for everyone to come together in an event that transcends just a performer on stage.

Todd Kaplan, Vice President, Marketing, Pepsi said, “After a year that’s largely been void of live music, we can’t wait to watch The Weeknd transform the world’s biggest stage with his limitless talent and creativity, delivering what will most certainly be an unforgettable performance that will be remembered for years to come.”

For now, everyone will speculate and wonder what the Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show will be. When The Weeknd takes the stage, everyone will be ready to celebrate, dance and sing along.
