This holiday season, the Hershey Kisses Bells are ready to warm hearts.

For many people the Hershey Kisses Bells are a holiday tradition. The brightly colored wrapped chocolate candy is a staple in the candy bowl. While many people cannot resist grabbing a Kiss or two, that candy bowl isn’t the only place where the iconic candy is enjoyed during the holidays.

This year, the Hershey Kisses Bells commercial has been given an update. Even though the ringing bells still bring smiles, this commercial shows that those Kisses are more than just a sweet treat.

According to Jill Baskin, CMO, The Hershey Company, “Our Bells spot has been largely untouched since it began running 31 years ago. We knew that our fans loved the spot and we would need to take great care in how we went about updating it. We believe that we hit the right note with this transitional spot. We are honoring the original while connecting it to, yet, another time-honored tradition of holiday baking. It just felt right.”

For many people, that classic holiday cookie, the thumbprint is always a popular choice. Whether is the cookie left for Santa or the first cookie enjoyed at the annual holiday cookie exchange, that combination of chocolate and peanut butter is irresistible.

In a recent survey, it was found that Hershey Kisses are the number one candy brand used in baking. Even as more people have fallen in love with baking over the past several months, that classic candy remains popular. From the ease of use to the rich chocolate flavor, many recipes benefit from those classic candies.

Even the new Hershey Kisses Sugar Cookie flavor features that iconic thumbprint recipe on the bag. It goes to show that Kisses and cookies are always a perfect combination.

Given the many different Kisses flavors, it seems that baking creativity is tremendous. Whether you change the Kisses flavor or the cookie dough, you could create numerous varieties with a few swaps.

And, if you don’t like to bake, you can even use a few Hershey Kisses to boost a hot cocoa, a scoop of ice cream or just eat them on their own. After all, during the holiday season, sweet treats are always worth the indulgence.
