If you want some free McRib Sandwiches, commit to this new look.

McDonald’s is giving away free McRib Sandwiches and it is the tastiest celebration for the McDonald’s menu item’s triumphant return. While many people have traveled far and wide to satisfy their McRib craving, the iconic restaurant brand is asking fans to make a bigger commitment to get some free food. Is your razor ready?

If you are ready to shave that beard, McDonald’s will give you a free McRib. For the first 10,000 entries of a clean-shaven face shared on a public Twitter or Instagram account using #Shave4McRibSweepstakes and tagging @mcdonalds they will receive a code for a free McRib. The code will be via McDelivery with Uber Eats. The offer is available while supplies last.

According to David Tovar Vice President of U.S. Communications, “Our bearded fans know… facial hair and the McRib just don’t mix—believe me, I’ve tried.” While this promotion is meant to be a little humorous, it is more than just a free food giveaway.

As part of the McRib return, McDonald’s is partnering with No-Shave November. The non-profit raises funds and awareness for cancer research, prevention and education. While the shaving for free McRib sandwiches is a fun promotion, every McRib purchased on December 2 will support the charity’s cancer initiatives.

Senior Executive Director of No-Shave November, Monica Hill, said “We’re thrilled McDonald’s is supporting this important cause, getting both the bearded and the non-bearded involved beyond November simply by purchasing a McRib.”

With the return of the McRib, there is much excitement about this fan favorite food. While many people will focus on satisfying that craving, it is heartwarming that McDonald’s is using this food event to promote a worthy charity. It goes to show that a brand can find a way to give back in creative ways.

The free McRib sandwiches promotion isn’t the only way that McDonald’s is giving back this holiday season. The Ronald McDonald House Charities social media sharing event is a way for everyone to show and to share their support for children’s charities this holiday season.

If you are ready to show off your clean shaven face for a free McRib, you might want to share soon. Or, just buy a McRib on December 2 for yourself and a friend. Even if you get a little sauce on your face, it is ok. That extra sauce shows how much you enjoyed that favorite McDonald’s favorite food.
